COSTITUZIONE ITALIANA
, all’articolo 34, afferma:
La scuola è aperta a tutti.
L'istruzione inferiore, impartita per almeno otto anni, è obbligatoria e gratuita. I capaci e
meritevoli, anche se privi di mezzi, hanno diritto di raggiungere i gradi più alti degli studi.
La Repubblica rende effettivo questo diritto con borse di studio, assegni alle famiglie ed altre
provvidenze, che devono essere attribuite per concorso.

E' importante ricordare che

non solo il diritto ma anche l'obbligo di frequentare

Tieni presente
che devi comunque recarti presso la segreteria della scuola che ti interessa, riempire i moduli necessari, portare la documentazione che ti sarà richiesta. Se hai documenti sulle scuole già frequentate nel tuo Paese devi portare una traduzione ufficiale.
Nella scuola dell'obbligo il minore viene iscritto generalmente nella classe corrispondente all'età.
Il collegio dei docenti si preoccuperà di adattare la programmazione, anche attraverso percorsi individualizzati o per gruppi di alunni, soprattutto per l'apprendimento della lingua italiana; potrà anche promuovere intese con associazioni iscritte nel registro del volontariato, associazioni straniere o rappresentanze diplomatiche, per favorire al massimo i ragazzi.

First: some relevant legal information about your rights from the Italian constitution (article 34).
The school is open to everyone.
Primary and middle school education is compulsory for at least 8 years and is free. Those who have the competence and the merit have the right to continue their education to the highest levels, even if they do not have the financial means to do so.
The Italian Republic will ensure this right through grants, family income supplements and through other means. In all cases the support will depend on assessment by a selection committee.
In the following pages you will find all the information you need to ensure your rights to education from childminding and nursery school right up to vocational training.
You should remember that children have not only the right to education but are also legally obliged to go to school, as will be made clearer in the following pages.
Even if children do not have a Permit to Stay (
permesso di soggiorno
) the children themselves, or their parents or tutors, will be placed with reserve on the schools’ list. Note however, that this reserve list does not in itself result in any form of entitlement either for the child or for the parents.
In the following pages we will help you find a school in Lecce. Remember that whichever school you choose, you will need to go there personally, fill in the forms provided and bring with you documentation that the school will ask for.
Any documents you have regarding schools attended in your home country must be translated officially (e.g. through your consulate or by an approved translator).
In general children will be put into a class according to their age, and not according to their level of Italian. The teachers themselves will adapt the school programme according to individual need. In particular, with regard to improving Italian, the school may decide to create individual or group programmes. This might include working with local voluntary organizations, foreign organizations or with diplomatic representatives to help the children as much as is possible.

SCOLARISATION ET FORMATION à LECCE - TROUVER UNA ECOLE POUR SES ENFANTS
La constitution italienne, à l’article 34, affirme que :
L’école est accessible à tous.
L’enseignement inférieur, ayant un cycle de 8 ans minimum, est obligatoire et gratuite Les plus méritants, même en absence de moyens, ont le droit d’accéder aux niveaux d’études les plus élevés.
La République rend effectif ce droit grâce à l’attribution de bourse d’études, d’allocations aux familles et d’autres aides qui sont attribuées par concours.

Il est important de se rappeler que les mineurs n’ont pas seulement le droit mais aussi l’obligation de fréquenter l’école, comme indiqué dans les pages qui suivent.
Même sans permis de séjour, les enfants, leurs parents ou le tuteur, sont inscrits sous réserve, réserve qui peut durer jusqu’à ce que l’enfant ait terminé avec succès son cycle d’études. Cela ne représente pas pour autant une condition pour la régularisation de l’élève et de ses parents.

Il est important de savoir que vous êtes tenus à vous présenter au secrétariat de l’école qui vous intéresse, à remplir les formulaires nécessaires et à apporter les papiers qui vous seront demandés. Si vous avez des papiers qui attestent que votre enfant a fréquenté l’école dans votre pays d’origine, il est nécessaire que ces papiers soient accompagnés d’une traduction officielle.
Durant les années de la scolarisation obligatoire, le mineur est inscrit généralement dans la classe qui correspond à son âge. Le conseil des professeurs adaptera sa programmation à travers des parcours individuels ou par groupes d’élèves, surtout pour ce qui concerne l’apprentissage de la langue italienne; il pourra également établir une collaboration avec des associations inscrites dans le registre du volontariat, des associations étrangères ou des autorités diplomatiques pour favoriser au maximum les jeunes.

Ce service opère en collaboration avec les institutions scolaires de la ville en soutien aux parcours formatifs des écoles primaires et des collèges. Il promeut des initiatives éducatives, la mise en œuvre de projets, de manifestations, la réalisation de partenariats entre différents acteurs, la mise en œuvre de stages de formation durant l’été, tout en valorisant l’autonomie des écoles et de leur enracinement sur le territoire afin de contribuer à l’élévation du standard qualitatif de l’école.
